L.A. Noire

PlayStation Move update & 3D games.
I wanted to clarify very quickly that my old post about PlayStation Move has totally changed since it was unveiled. I want one… Probably this Christmas. I’d also like to say while I hate 3D movies in theaters, I kinda want a 3D tv. The ability to switch it on and of makes it more appealing. What’s more is 3D games look pretty interesting. I want. It extends the life of games and movies with the ability to go back and do it all over again and making the experience completley different.
Gran Turismo 5, yes please.
I like many others have been a fan of Gran Turismo since it first came out on the ps1. I’ve played all of them and own GT and GT4. After getting the ps3 I knew I’d buy GT5 but didn’t know when it’d be out and honestly didn’t care since I have so many other games. When the prologue came out I rented it and was not satisfied. Sure…it looked good. It just wasn’t any fun because I guess I was getting used to games like Burnout. (which rules) I noticed a couple things that I thought the kings of racing should put in GT by now. I’m not talking about damage, I’m talking about the screeching of the tires! It’s the same sound over and over again! That and there are never any tire marks on the road. Then I played Need for Speed Shift which I think has to be the most fun I’ve had racing. It’s because of the sound and the feel of driving inside the car. Well after watching the latest trailer for Gran Tursimo 5, I can say I’m excited again! It looks like they have some different noises for screeching tires and pretty good looking damage. Not sure about tire tracks but the dust looks good. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think?
And here’s a question for anyone reading…
Would you rather have 950+ cars (most you don’t wanna drive anyway) that look really good or, 100+ cars (you’d actually wanna drive) modeled to perfection by Polyphony?
A letter to @PlayStation – with reply from @PlayStation
After just one day @PlayStation answered my question…skip to end to see the answer.
When I first got my ps3 I didn’t have an hdtv, which was pretty sad to say the least. Although I wasn’t too upset because my parents have a 1080p Sony Bravia and jumped on the bluray bandwagon pretty quick. (cuz of me) After some time I had to take my ps3 off that tv and go to a far less impressive tv. It was then I realized that there is one thing you better remember to do if you’re dancing with different resolutions. Always remember…going from high res to lower res SWITCH BACK TO LOWER RES FIRST! a bullet named FAIL
I was just playing some Modern Warfare 2 and something happened that I felt I just needed to blog about. I don’t play MW2 that much anymore and I’m not a great player or anything but a little while ago I was “doing work” as the kids like to say. You can see this in the photographic evidence I took just for this blog. I’m not here to display this mediocre achievement however…no. I’m here to tell a story of a really big dick move. So I think I was about 21-9 at this point in the game when I got yet another killstreak for an air-drop. I got to a corner, crouched and threw the smoke. At this time I notice a TEAM MATE run up to me, point his gun at my head and let loose a bullet I’m naming fail. Of course after I died he stole my harrier strike. I wasn’t so much angry as I was shocked, because I’ve never seen that happen (again I don’t play a lot). This is where the best part comes in. He uses my airstrike and kills nobody. Even better was that he came into the game late so he had -100 points for killing me. I was praying he’d fail at getting any kills in the last seconds of the game and my prayers weren’t answered. The harriers killed one person and he ended up with 0 points. After that I send him a nice message that read:
FAIL
I smiled and ended the game 21-9 with all those accolades. Thanks Roflcopter77….you helped me post a blog, and I needed it cuz I haven’t done much on here lately. I should have took a pic of his score and not my accolades though. Anyway I thought it was a fun story and I wanted to share.
I’ll probably add him/her now.
PlayStation Move
Sony just unveiled its new motion controller called PlayStation Move. I have just a few things to say about this decision by Sony. I for one probably will not purchase Move for many reasons. I like holding the controller, relaxing and playing top-notch exclusive PlayStation games and that’s it. I don’t want to wave my hands and whatever. However, a game that I love that could have some benefit to this is Heavy Rain. The game now using the dualshock3 is perfect control-wise but take a second and ask, could it be better with motion control? Continue reading
